A game i was looking forward to, a fantastic result but could have been better organised. The Ł20 ticket price put some fans off, a new booking system and restrictions on who could purchase contributed to a low attendance despite the no away fan rule several coaches arrived with away fans forcing the polices hand to allow entry. Rangers had a larger share of possession and missed at least three great chances to score but despite a strong squad most of which were changed at half time a stunning 20 yard shot from Tranmeres Morris proved the winner. Tranmere playing their first pre season game only had 12 first team players over half of which were new signings played well enough to show promise for the season ahead. A disappointing poster prog covering the two home friendlies was used half of which was taken up by the fixture list and poster of the management team.
