Second game of the day making the match with 15 minutes to spare, had to change my jacket to hide my tranmere shirt and decided it was easier to go in the away section. Unfortunatley this was on the side with the section behind the goal closed for today, i say unfortunately as i had seen games in the other three sections of the ground before. As it happens Torquay had too former Tranmere loanees in the starting line up in Blissett and McGinty. The game turned out to be very entertaining, the first half was even in terms of possession but Chester looked sharper in front of goal. Chester used this advantage having won a penalty although they did it the hard way with the visiting keeper saving(i was informed he had saved his previous one the week before)but the rebound was drilled home by LLoyd. The home side created a host of chances but Torquays keeper saved most efforts with a number fizzing wide although his one mistake should have cost another goal as he tried to sheppard a ball out he lost possession on the dead ball line but the Chester player appeared to cross instead of shooting into an empty net but Torquay also forced the home keeper into a great save on the stroke of half time. The second half was dominated in terms of possession by Torquay and deserved at least a draw for their efforts including hitting the bar although Chester still threatened on the counter. Spoke to a few frendly away supporters although their appeared to be two very vocal Wrexham fans also in the away end giving the home players and fans plenty of stick.
