Sad but true, The 3-sided Kassam stadium simply leaks atmosphere away. And when the place is less than a quarter full it doesn''t stand a chance. The football was spritely and committeed but we still struggled to stay awake with the applause rippling soporifically like that at a village cricket match. Amusing moment: Oxford hardcore fans (all 3 of them) chanting Come on you yellow which sounded like the desperate cry of a man severe suffering prostate trouble. Amusing moment 2: chap behind shouts (first time all match) at winger Go on Williams!! his mate mutters, Is he called Williams? Reply, Yeah, I think so. Back to Henley via Didcot Parkway to pick up Marmot.
