Was really looking forward to this game which is slightly unusual for a neutral match but i quite like brentford because of my Grandad having had a season ticket there for a few years and ipswich having Jordan Rhodes there on loan. however the game failed to live up to expectations and was bit of a 0-0 bore. It is werid watching the game in an athletics stadium due to the small crowd but would be interesting if rotherham had a large cup game.
I drove to Sheffield and we stopped for a much needed KFC before the game at services. We had a large group of lads behind us who were quite amusing but a bit annoying later on and kept refering to the ground as an "eastern block style" due to the large old fashion athletics score board. they also sung "a ground full of germans" which was amusing as I had gone with steve and Lee (German)!
Had a massive Toby Carvery on the way home which was brilliant for a fiver with free ice cream! Good to get another one out of the way and climb nearier that magic 92 figure!

Went with Pagey and Lee to this one. Got up at 06:30 to drive from Oxford to Stowmarket to get a lift with Pagey, so was pretty knackered before we even started ! Nice K.F.C stop on yhe way up on the M1. The game was fairly tame with both teams cancelling each other out hence there were hardly any chances to note. The stadium really was different as you would expect and I couldn't understand why Rotherham didn't use the huge scoreboard to display the teams and score etc.. The whole place just looked like it should have been in eastern europe staging some 1980's athletics !! Lovely carvery on the way home at Leicester. Beautiful.

Went with Rob and Steve.  - Fairly uneventful trip, made good time on the way up with just the one stop not far outside of Sheffield.  - Had to wait a ridculous amount of time at the services for my Mcdonalds!  - Got to the ground about 40 mins before kick off and made our way in, the stadium was very different to anywhere else.  - Clearly not designed to host football it was more like an Eastern Block athletics arena than a tradition British Stadium.  - The scoreboard inparticular looked like it was from the Cold War.  - The game was atrocious, the main entertainment being provided by a few funny Brentford fans behind us.  - There was hardly any atmosphere, mainly due to it being largely open and everyone being on just the one side of the ground.  - Went via Leicester on the way back and had a rather large Toby Carvery meal which was nice!  - Made it back in  - good time getting home around 21:30
