Ticket price £19.00 (A127/M25/M11/A14/A1/A66 - a weekend away to CP Whinfell Forest with a round trip of 730 miles which included visiting family near Carlisle taking 6hrs 30mins on the way up and 5hrs and 45mins on the way back!! Parking was really easy and cheap (£2.50) at the stadium car park and I found the ground to be an absolute delight with all staff/stewards being a credit to the football club. The ground itself is a little odd with one large ish stand (The Pioneer, where I sat) with the stand opposite predominantly for standing but had two seated areas tucked up in each corner, the third stand (all terracing) had a peculiar roof with three peaks and the fourth stand which was for the away fans was also terracing but with no roof! Just as well it was a lovely day... My seat had bags of leg room but had a barrier partly obscuring my view of the pitch but the pre match pastie was the best I''ve had so far so no complaints!! The Oxford fans were there in huge numbers as they looked to cement their place in League One next season and they certainly added to the atmosphere by being very vocal/colourful which clearly had an effect on their team who were the much better side throughout and deserved to win on a perfect pitch that was relaid following the recent floods. Overall another great weekend away in a wonderful part of the country).
