Met Carl in the train station weatherspoons at 8.30am for a couple of pints before the noon kickoff. Got the train there and back. Saw a few fights after the game as the Leeds and Huddersfield fans were released at the same time and were mixed together walking back up the hill. HUDDERSFIELD  - - - - - 1 (Clarke 16), LEEDS 0 Huddersfield: Smithies, Holdsworth, Butler, Nathan Clarke, Williams, Ainsworth (Jevons 46), Goodwin, Collins, Pilkington, Roberts (Werling 74), Jutkiewicz (Craney 81). Subs: Glennon, Tom Clarke. Leeds: Ankergren, Hughes (Howson 53), Marques (Michalik 89), Naylor, Dickinson, Snodgrass, Douglas, Delph, Robinson, Becchio, Trundle (Grella 75). Subs: Lucas, Johnson. Referee: P TaylorUnited manager Simon Grayson made just one change to the side which beat Millwall earlier in the week, Luciano Becchio replacing the suspended Jermaine Beckford up front. It was United who tested Alex Smithies first in the 14th minute. The referee played a good advantage following a handball in the Leeds half, Andy Robinson fed Lee Trundle who in turn released Rob Snodgras, but his shot was straight at Smithies. The home side replied immediately, though, and after Richard Naylor had acted quickly to clear the danger when Casper Ankergren was under pressure, Huddersfield took the lead. Nathan Clarke was the scorer when he headed home the resultant corner. Hudderfield then went on to dominate the first half, looking much sharper and Lionel Ainsworth was always looking dangerous. The second half was a different story and Leeds were on the front foot for most of it. Howson came on for an injured Hughes, looked lively and was unlucky to miss with a glancing header on 58mins. With 15 minutes remaining, Grayson made his second sub, handing Mike Grella his debut in place of Trundle.Smithies made another save when Leeds threatened again and the goalkeeper got down well to deny Robinson in the 85th minute as Leeds continued to press.Leeds threw everyone forward for the four minutes of stoppage time and Ankergren denied Huddersfield a second goal after Naylor was left in a two-on-one situation inside his own half. That proved to be the last action of the game, and Huddersfield celebrated as though they had won the FA Cup, while United were left to reflect on an ill-deserved  - - - defeat.
