The F.A. Cup 5th round and Sunderland away. Fletch, Jimmy and Ricky headed to the north east for this one. This game was a spare of the moment decision a couple of days before but boy where the lads looking forward to it as a night in Newcastle was on the horizon, the lads had heard great stories about Newcastle and couldn't wait to get out up there. The lads met at New Street in the morning, Ricky still completely smashed from the night before informed the lads he had pulled a bird the previous night but couldn't remember her name so had decided to name her Betsy (weirdo) ! The lads got the train to Newcastle and after a decent trip arrived at in Newcastle and soon at there b & b. Ricky was unsure if he could make the trip to Sunderland as still felt recked and was debating watching it on tv in the room, Fletch and Jimmy however persuaded him and the lads where soon on track. The game was not a classic but what a classic goal from Mikael Forsell, a brilliant solo run in the box with amazing skill saw him pass Birmingham in front 1-0 !! Sunderland equalised before half time making it 1-1. Even the introduction off Christophe Dugarry after the restart could not provide the breakthrough for Birmingham and the game ended 1 a piece with a replay planned for 10 days time at st andrews. The lads set off back to Newcastle, Ricky not ready to go out like the other made the lads come back to the b & b with him, he got ready and the lads hit the town. Fletch and Jimmy where well imprssed with Lloyds bar and a couple of other bars in the gate, the lads where soon smashed and in a nightclub called blue bambu where they met up with Bateman, Ryan and Co who where also down for the night !! The lads hit the long island ice teas and end the night smashed !!Fletch got a taxi but ended up getting  dumpted in the middle off nowhere and did not no where to go, Jimmy went missing and rang his mrs Nicky telling him he was lost and walking up loads of alleys and Ricky, well Ricky, who know's where he dissapears two !! Luckily Fletch found a taxi and got back, Jimmy found his way to the b & b as did Ricky, the lads departed to the land of nod for the night !!   Brecky in the morning, (that Fletch threw up on the train) and the lads headed home, a couple up the moon on the night, cant really compare that place to Newcastle but a nice end to a good weekend !
