After a BBQ at Pageys, we met Fairsy and Nick at Copdock and onto the ground. Traffic was heavy and rather ridiculous considering this is a relatively new ground - Soooo unorganised. Saw Phil Brown & Brian Horton outside the ground whilst queueing (again) but this time for Nick's ticket as no cash turnstiles - Once again more disorganisation meaning kick off delayed by 15 mins - JOKE. ITFC paraded 7 of their new signings but Cresswell was the one that stood out the most. The game was not the best and the only real entertainment was the banter between the Town fans (who had more than Col U did even though we were away) from one stand to the other but after the same continuous song even that became tedious. On 82 mins a long ball from town that landed on the edge of the Col U area meant the keeper came out and ended up clashing heads with his own defender and knocking him out cold, defender was down for ages and an ambulance came onto the pitch - to everyone's surprise a decision was made to call off the game. The majority of fans were concerned about the player but this then changed whilst everyone was walking out when he got up and walked to the tunnel, the concern turned to boos as it did seem that the decision was a touch premature and rather OTT. Transpires the player had a tooth knocked out and was unconscious for 30 seconds so considering it was a friendly it doesn't overly matter but still think the game should of continued considering people had paid good money to watch the game.
