Comments :
Great day out. Really liked the crowd at the Bescot - good humoured and patient + also very multi cultural, family friendly, etc. Seemed a really decent football club with strong roots in the community, from the 80 year old (plus?) couple sat behind me to the disabled lad shaking the hands of the substitutes warming up. Really nice feel about the place. Good match too although you can see why Bournemouth are close to the top. Walsall had the most possession and huffed and puffed a lot but Bournemouth were very sharp on the counter + defended excellently - very professional. Bournemouth had an early goal disallowed for hand ball & both sides hit the woodwork but Bournemouth got the goal second half and then soaked up everything Walsall threw at them. Walsall almost equalised with the last kick of the game in the 5th min of injury time. Their best player, Richards, took a free kick which beat the keeper but not the crossbar. Shame - cos they deserved something from the match.
