2nd Half Goals from Pearce, Keane, Charles & Crosby put us into the FA Cup Final for the 1st time since 1959. Also BC's 1st ever FA Cup final. Remember going with my dad & one of my mates from school to this one. It was a hot sunny day in Birmingham & we sat in the car listening the Spurs V Arsenal games on the radio. On the way to the ground we knew that we had a very good chance to win the cup. Arsenal were the ones who were flying (they only lost once that season) & Spurs were a mid-table medioure team.    We arrived at Villa Park about 30 minutes before KO & even then it was packed out. West ham brought loads of claret & blue ballons which made for a colourful scene. (Just before KO, where I was standing there was  TV camera that was pointing towards us. Didn't think anything of it until school on the Monday when everyone said they had seen me on TV).   After this, all I can remember is Tony Gale getting sent off midway through the 1st half. After that it was ours for the taking. After the game I can remember Forest fans applading the West Ham fans for singing throughout the game & really enjoying their day.
