A late Peter Rogers goal kept Exeter safe for the season. Somerton Park was one of those ramshackle grounds that had a uniqueness. The speedway track: the small main stand and the ramshackle nature of the covered terraces. It would be hard to imagine this ground hosting European opposition in the last 8 of a major trophy - but it did.
