Match no. 158. Bank Holiday Monday evening. Tommy Jenkins scored a wonderful individual goal for Southampton after 9 minutes, dribbling through the entire West Ham defence, for which he received a standing ovation from the Upton Park crowd. One of those special moments that stay in your memory. Geoff Hurst rescued a point for Hammers with a 65th minute penalty. Dad was with me for this one.
