Watford away, the 2nd from last away game off the season !! Fletch, Daisy, Joe and Warren headed to the outskirts off cockney land to watch Birmingham City desperate for three points to keep up the promotion race and stabalise 2nd place !!
This was the first trip for Fletch on the train since November as Plymouth, Blackpool and Crystal Palace where done on the coach and Doncaster in the car. It was Warren and Daisy's first away trip since Forest and old Selfy, well he was still 100% home and away !!
A lift from designated away driver Dave to New Street, a macces breakfast and on the train to Northampton the group hopped !! A good old fashioned read off the guardian for Joe and a big poker game for Fletch, Daisy and Warren with the winner taking £6 !!
A quick change a Northampton and the final part off the journey was complete and the group where in Watford. A stroll in to town and the group had found the local wetherspoons, bonus !! The drink began too flow as the group chatted about football and the world in general. Joe was introduced too the world off cheeky vimto and soon enjoyed his new drink !!
Kick off soon approached and with a good few drinks inside them the group headed to vickarage road. Soon inside the ground big belly Joe hit the hot dogs, two where consumed within the 1st half hour off the game !! Skinny Fletch had just the one !!
There was a party atmosphere inside the ground among the 1500 travelling Birmingham supporters with blow up beach balls, champaigne bottles and rubber rings flying around !! Fletch went to take his usual picture off the ground they where visiting when bang !!!! Some idiot threw a beach ball at him and his new Nokia phone was in pieces, a quick repair and kick off had arrived !!
Birmingham dominated possesion in the 1st half but could not find the break through !! Lee Bowyer and Seb Larsson both went close but Birmingham could not find the back off the net !! Watford created a couple off chances but there generall performance and the atmosphere from there supporters was quite flat !! It was goaless at the break !!
Daisy and Warren headed to the back for a wee break, Fletch stayed in his seat and Joe probably went searching for more food !!
The 2nd half began and Watford improved !! Chances where pretty rare, Colin Doyle making one excellent stop low to his right from a header !! Cameron Jerome come on with 20 minutes to go and within three minutes he had the Birmingham end going crazy !! A good tackle from Damien Johnson and a through ball to Jerome the forward cut in on his right and hit a shot which deflected and landed in the far corner !! The away end where going crazy !! Jerome and the players celebrated !! Birmingham where edging ever closer to a return to the premiership !! Jimi Traore come on for his debut after being injured for the last two months since joining the club replacing player off the year Franck Quedrue !! A nervy three minutes injury time arrived but the Birmingham defence stood strong and held on for all 3 points !! Chants off ''We are going up say we are going up'' where heard from the away end !!
The group where happy and headed back to the weatherspoons where the day had started only to be turned by the bouncers who had decided no away fans !! This turned out to be a bonus for the group who headed to a pub by the train station which was full off away fans, the lads bumped in to Joe's mate Pete and a few drinks a sing song in the beer garden started !! The group headed back about 7pm, a couple off video's where made with Selfy doing his Cloughy impressions !! Petes mate was smashed !! They arrived back about 9pm, Joe and Warren got a taxi while Daisy and Fletch struggled to find t
